Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo Princesses

The Princess Pageant will be held at the event July 4, 2023, at the Barksdale Pavilion in the Gulfport Small Craft Harbor. Participation during the event will be consideration in the selection of winners.

This pageant does not include any swim wear.

The Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo offers a Scholarship Opportunity to local residents who meet the following qualifications: 

 

  1. Female between the ages if 18-22 at the time of the rodeo; 

  2. A graduating high school senior or enrolled (or will enroll) in an accredited, public Mississippi college, junior or community college or university in the Fall (August) 2023 semester; 

  3. Available for rodeo activities during the dates of July 1 through July 4, 2023;  a required minimum of 16 cumulative hours and provide own transportation.

  4. A first time contestant;

  5. Sell a minimum of $125 in boat raffle tickets (one book) for each additional book sold you will earn points.  In the event there is a tie in the score to be crowned Queen these points will be used to determine the winner.

 

The rodeo queen will receive a minimum of $1,000.00 scholarship and two (2) alternates will receive $500.00 each and all others will receive $250.00 paid to the college.

 

The MSDSFR Princess Pageant will be held at the event on July 4, 2023, at the Barksdale Pavillion in the Gulfport Harbor.  Participation during the event will be a consideration in the selection of winners.  The pageant does not include any swimwear.

 

If you would like to be considered for this scholarship please contact either your local Mayor’s office or Board of Supervisors office for your community after March 15th for an application.  Deadline for completed applications to be submitted back to their offices for consideration is Friday, March 31, 2023. 

 

No family member of any of the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo Directors will be allowed to participate in the pageant.
